Because for instance, a red color by itself has many kinds. A blue shade of color has few other kinds. And in order to be really specific with colors, there must be a way to pinpoint an exact shade of color and without a doubt. And that’s the use of Pantone colors.

A Pantone is a color system that is universally used in the printing industry. It’s a collection of around a thousand shades of different colors. And each color has its own number for identification.

To accurately see these colors, it is best to see them in sample swatches. Pantone swatch book is a must for all printing shops. At Poco Shirt Printing, Pantone color number is what we ask our client to represent a color on their custom printing order. Especially colors that are very specific to their brand. In order for us to screen print the color accurately, our client needs to give us the Pantone number and then we mix specific colors ourselves in the shop.
